♦ Myth 1: Food and supplements detoxify your body. 

Our body detoxifies naturally when substances such as ammonia, waste products, drugs and alcohol are present. It happens during the day. A healthy diet can help your body do its job, but only if you have a healthy, functioning liver and kidneys.

Unfortunately, detoxifying juices, teas, and supplements do not actually detoxify your body. They can help you lose weight in a short time because they often contain laxatives and diuretics. They may also have very few calories.

 

♦ Myth 2: Gluten free = healthier.

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. This protein is harmless. It is true that some people are celiac. This autoimmune disease perceives gluten as harmful and creates antibodies against it. This can cause serious damage to the intestinal mucosa, and the only treatment is a treatment based on a gluten-free diet for life, then there are people who digest gluten very poorly.
